Scheme Overview

The Delhi Disability Pension Scheme, also known as “Delhi Financial Assistance for Persons with Special Needs,” is a key initiative by the Delhi Government. The scheme provides financial assistance to disabled individuals in Delhi to support their monthly needs.

Managed by the Department of Social Welfare, the scheme offers a monthly pension of ₹2,500 to eligible beneficiaries. Applications can be submitted both online and offline, ensuring accessibility for all.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Disability Percentage: 40% or above.
  • Age: Applicant must not be more than 60 years old.
  • Income: Annual family income must not exceed ₹1,00,000.
  • Exclusion: Applicants should not receive any other government financial assistance.

  • Blindness
  • Deafness
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

Applicants need to submit the following documents:

  • Residence proof (Domicile certificate).
  • Age proof.
  • Income certificate or self-declaration.
  • Aadhaar card.
  • Disability certificate.
  • Passport-size photo.
  • Bank account details.

Application Process

Online Application Process

  1. Visit the Delhi E-District Portal.
  2. Register with Aadhaar card details.
  3. Log in with your credentials.
  4. Select “Delhi Disability Pension Scheme” under the Services tab.
  5. Complete the application form and upload the required documents.
  6. Submit the form.
  7. The application will be verified by the District Social Welfare Officer. Upon approval, ₹2,500 will be credited monthly to the applicant’s bank account.

Offline Application Process

  1. Collect the application form from the District Social Welfare Department Office.
  2. Fill out the form and attach the required documents.
  3. Submit the form at the office.
  4. Applications will be scrutinized, and upon verification, the pension will be credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
